Why do you want to be a tutor?
- Some of the most fulfilling times as a teacher were helping students after school or during lunch break and seeing them later achieve their target goals with my help.
Why should a student pick you?
- I graduated magna cum laude from one of the best teacher prep universities in the country, I've worked past 4 years as a teacher in public schools, I enjoy one on one or small group teaching, I have a vast range of experience in life and across all subject disciplines, I am outgoing and fun but know how to focus well, I am patient and willing to teach in different ways in order to achieve understanding.
Personal Statement:
- I have profound bilateral deafness since age of four but grew up in mainstream classes with no interpreters. As a result, I am comfortable with both hearing and deaf and have strong command of English verbal and written skills. I view myself as an example to others in the deaf community and am able to teach either group with equal facility.
