Why do you want to be a tutor?
Hopefully this won't come off as a cliche...but I thoroughly enjoy the acquisition of knowledge, and feel blessed with the ability to help others. I know that education can be boring, intimidating, or have any number of other negative connotations. But I strongly believe that everyone just needs the right format and the learning takes care of itself.

Why should a student pick you?
Many educators feel that there is a tradeoff between effective learning processes and the amount of fun one can have while obtaining them. I fundamentally disagree. My style as both a student and a teacher has been to create the optimal learning environment, free of pressure and external stressors that can stand in the way of a student's absorption of the material. My methods focus on long-term retention and authentic UNDERSTANDING (as opposed to clever memory tricks). I am a local Austinite, who graduated from UT in 2003 with a degree in Finance and Economics. I graduated 1st in my class and gave the commencement speech, so there are no hesitations or inhibitions when it comes to addressing small or large groups. I have spent considerable time studying other subjects in the arts and sciences, and feel very comfortable with most college material from Math to Literature.

    Personal Statement:
I am many things, but most importantly, I am passionate and I refuse to back down from a challenge. I also refuse to let those around me settle.

    Any Last Words?
'Lack of originality, everywhere, all over the world, from time immemorial, has always been considered the foremost quality and the recommendation of the active, efficient and practical man.' 'Inventors and geniuses have almost always been looked on as no better than fools at the beginning of their career, and very frequently at the end of it also.'
