Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I want to be a tutor because I enjoy seeing people succeeding in areas that are difficult or hard to understand. Also, since I am studying to become a Physician Assistant, I want to improve my communication and relational skills. I believe it is important for a Physician Assistant to communicate and relate well to people of all ages! Therefore, as a tutor, I will not only be able to see students excel in their courses, but also excel in my goals of becoming a great Physician Assistant.
Why should a student pick you?
- A student should pick me for several reasons! First of all, I enjoy teaching people. I have helped younger students, fellow students, and even coworkers better understand difficult or confusing subjects. I get a lot of pleasure asnd joy seeing someone I teach start to comprehend ideas they have had trouble understanding. Students should pick me because I really enjoy math, science, and biology courses. Since I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, I have really come to enjoy and appreciate these sometimes difficult courses. I also really enjoy being around people and can relate well to others! Additionally, I am patient with others and understand what it means to be a student trying to learn difficult material.....and succeeding!
Personal Statement:
- I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I am currently studying to get my Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, where I plan on practicing in Family Practice clinics. Therefore, I want to learn how to better communicate and relate to people of all ages. As a Physician Assistant, I will be constantly communicating and relating to people of all different backgrounds, education, and ages. I will not only be required to treat and diagnose my patients accurately, but also teach and educate important information regarding their health. As a result, I strongly believe tutoring students will accomplish the following goals: improving my communication and relational skills; and, more importantly, helping students better understand difficult and troublesome material.
