Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I love to help others and I am very good at picking out subtle systematic errors students make. I am a great communicator, whether it be with a student or his/her parents.
Why should a student pick you?
- I break things down in a language you can understand and I connect math to tangible, real world examples that make learning interesting and meaningful. The more I get to know a student, the more effective I become in making topics interesting.
Personal Statement:
- I have a strong math background and I can make those complicated concepts understandable. In the year I have spent tutoring I have proved a successful tutor. I tailor my style to the particular student and have the patience to shift strategy if something is not working.

- I know this is cliche, but the following quote is an excellent metaphorical summary of what I seek to do with my students:
Give a man a fish, you have fed him for today.
Teach a man to fish, and you have fed him for a lifetime.
I tutor with this mentality. I teach students HOW to learn things effectively, which helps them in the long run.
